We understand that we’re very representative of current artisan flower farmers in the UK in the past 10 years - we’re white, female and just a few years over 30!

A greater diversity of people in flower farming will benefit us all, bringing new ideas, approaches, strengthening our growing industry, and we’ve been working to help make that happen. In 2020, we developed a Scholarship Scheme to help people from a minority background or a group under-represented in our industry to think about flower farming as a career and get going. We understand that supporting people into a new career takes time and we offered support through a medium term approach that encouraged progression. Over 3 years we provided cost-free opportunities for more than 70 people to explore whether flower farming might be for them, and mentored 9 different businesses.

During 2023/24 we will be giving our time to support the Flowers from the Farm Diversity Scholarship. For more information, click the button below.
